Default A few questions from a new player

Hi. I just started playing a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been able to find the answers to some questions:

1) Is there a way to share quests with another party member? My friend and I keep finding that one of us has a quest that the other doesn't have, and then we have to try to remember where we picked it up. Can we just share from the quest menu?

2) Is there an option or mod available that shows what "level" the quests are? At this point (we're both lvl. 10), it seems like some quests are really easy, while others can be quite challenging. It would be nice to know what we should try to tackle, especially if we have a limited time to play.

3) How can I get rid of the annoying blue level icons above everyone's head in an outpost? This really bugs me. Related to that, what is the difference between light blue and dark blue names in a town?

4) Are there any potions in this game, or some way to heal yourself in a pinch when your monk hero is being stupid? I have monk as my secondary profession, but I can't afford to put the att. points into making the heals worthwhile.

5) I'd like to use an off-hand item on my monk hero, but I only see two-handed staves available for purchase. Do monks typically use one-handed weapons, and if so, what type?

I think that's all for now. Thanks.

1. Nope, but your quest log tells you who you got it from.

2. Nope. Look around the area you picked the quest in, difficulty should be appropriate to the area.

3. Light blue are people not in groups. Dark blue are people in groups.

4. Potions are lame, but there are some consumables you can use. Mostly in GW:EN.

5. Yes they do, they have wands.

1. You can share all quests except profession specific ones (check the quest list on the wikis). In Prophecies, there are certain quests that reward you with new skills. If you are a warrior/monk and your friend is a ranger/necro, then those quests and rewards will not be available to both of you, although you can certainly tag along to help.

2. Make sure you are upgrading your armor. This will affect how fast you die.

4. No healing potions available in any of the campaigns; the Consumables are in the level 20 expansion, a long time away.

5. You can check the Collector list on the wiki for the area you are playing in to see if anyone has a monk wand available. Collectors trade drops for area appropriate weapons, armor, etc.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I didn't realize there were two different wiki pages. Two follow-up questions:

1) I've seen people talk about using one-handed melee weapons with monks. That's sort of why I asked. Is that normal or not important in PvE or whatever?

2) Any way to get rid of those icons floating above everyone's head in outposts? I thought there might be a check box in the options menu, but I haven't found anything like that.

Some monks use weapons for mods that they want like +enchantment duration that i don't believe you can get on a wand. I don't believe you can get those icons to go away unfortunately, I used to get annoyed by them also but you tend to just ignore them after a while. Also, you can find out how hard an area is around you by looking at the levels of the henchman. If you are lvl 10, and they are lvl 15, you may want to upgrade your armor or go get a couple more lvls before moving on.

Those icons floating above everyone's heads are crucial to the game. The only place these appear is in mission outposts, where people are naturally looking to group up to do the mission. The icons show how many people are in that particular person's group, so it can aid in grouping up. There isn't any way to turn them off, but they're not present in the "real" cities and outposts.

the monks that use melee weapons are usualy "55's" or 55hp monks...they have 55 health and(if use correctly) are super good at hand-to-hand combat.
